Protecting the vulnerable is at the heart of effective policing. Salterton provides specialist advisory and implementation support for all safeguarding matters, including Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) programmes, drawing on senior practitioners who have led in these areas in the UK.

We help organisations design and implement multi-agency safeguarding hubs, improve their domestic abuse response, and build the cultural and procedural foundations for lasting change in how they protect vulnerable people.

What We Deliver

Our specialists support across the range of safeguarding activities including best practice, legal,  regulatory and policy reviews. Our safeguarding service experience includes designing a multi-agency safeguarding hub (MASH), overseeing the build and implementation. We undertake operational reviews in cases of vulnerable missing persons and domestic homicides and provide strategic investigatory advice.

We undertake VAWG strategy development and implementation support, develop mandatory reporting frameworks and delivery cultural change programmes to embed safeguarding as an organisational priority. Our work is underpinned by training for frontline officers and supervisors delivered by our experts in recognising and responding to vulnerability.

Why Salterton

Effective safeguarding requires more than simply ensuring that well written policies exist. We recognise the importance of an approach to safeguarding which is rooted in a culture where ‘doing the right thing’ for the vulnerable and those in need is non-negotiable. Our specialists have led UK Forces safeguarding functions, managed complex multi-agency partnerships, and driven the kind of systemic change that turns policy into a practice that protects. We bring both the strategic vision and the operational detail required to protect the most vulnerable in our communities.
