Retired Detective with over 26 years of operational Policing experience specialising is Serious and Organised Crime. Highly commended by Crown Court Judges and Chief Officers alike for his investigation into organised criminality as Case Officer. Fully qualified trainer with considerable international experience in the delivery of Investigative related training programmes.

SGBV Investigation and Interview training programme design and delivery. Capacity building with Police Services across Africa. Conducting of workplace investigations and related training.

Experience:

26 years of fully operational policing, 2 years leading the Detective Training Programme and the Vulnerable Interview Programme. 10 years consultancy experience since completing his police service in 2016. Extensive international delivery experience since 2016 working in both the public and private sectors with a particular emphasis on investigation related training in Africa.

About Chris

Chris was attached to his Forces Crime Operations Unit for over 8 years of his service. During this period, he was part of a high performing investigation team responsible for a wide range of investigation activities relating to Serious and Organised Crime across the County. Chris carried out all the key investigation roles as a Detective including Family Liaison Officer, Core Exhibits Officer, Case Officer, Lead Disclosure Officer and Telecoms and Intelligence Officer. Chris was responsible for the development of systems and processes to enhance the investigative integrity of these high-risk investigations. Chris was qualified to PIP2 level.

For the final 2 years of his service, he moved into the Learning and Development Department, completing his training qualifications and completing a BA Hons degree in Organisational Development in Police Services.

Since completing his service in 2016 Chris has provided consultancy services initially as an Associate for the College of Policing but also on an individual basis to other public agencies and the private sector. Chris’s travels have taken him to Chile, Indonesia, Cayman Islands, Nigeria, Kenya, Malawi, Ghana, Zambia, Liberia, Sierra Leone, The Gambia and into the Middle East working in Abu Dhabi and into Eastern Europe with deployments to Lithuania and Ukraine. The programmes that Chris has designed and delivered have been wide ranging including the design and delivery of the first PIP2 programme for the Police Ombudsman in Northern Ireland to Money Laundering typology in Chile on behalf of Interpol.

Chris’s work across Africa was completed on behalf of the British Peace Support Team which sought to develop the investigation skills of Police Officers deployed on peace keeping duties in relation to the investigation of Sexual and Gender Based Violence with a particular focus on adopting a trauma informed approach to investigation activities.
